The Riggs have started a new nightly tradition....pedaling out to the nearby island from our cove. Yes, pedaling I say. We Riggs aren't ready for a real boat so we have gotten a pedal boat to cure the feeling of being completely landlocked. After you quit laughing/feeling sorry for us, you might just realize the pure joy of pedaling.

Apparently other people like it since the pedal boat got temporarily hijacked this weekend by some kids who helped themselves to it. Seriously - a hijacking! D1 went down to our dock to restore order and the mother of the kids actually blamed her son - "I told him not to do it!" to which D1 responded, "Who is the mother?" It was sad and hilarious at the same time. The pedal boat is now safe though dirty. But can you believe the nerve?!??
Back to our island exploration - we pedal out from our cove with a cooler and pasta pick-ups for Ben. A semi-picnic of sorts. Then we spend our time on the island shores, mostly throwing rocks. It is very exciting, especially for the Rock Throwing King who tries for the largest rocks his small body can possibly hoist.

And sometimes he eats them....

And sometimes, though rarely, he rests.
