The Great Lock In
As expected, I have become lax in my blogging. I have also misplaced my camera so photos are currently suspended indefinitely.
Anyway....as an update from last week, D1 and I had an adventure when we decided to bring Ben to the office. He was just exploring as usual when he decided to lock himself in my office. Not just a simple push button lock, but a lock that you have to push and twist in and unlock WITH A KEY. Bad choice, little fella, especially on a Saturday.
So he is locked in. And not happy about it once he realizes it. Of course, D1 and I try sticking all sorts of things in the lock to try to unlock it - no success. Then we make an emergency call to D2, who generally knows how to solve all problems. Well, his knowledge seems to wane somewhat after a night staying up late with two male cousins I shall leave nameless. His response..."call a locksmith."
Well, I tried. And tried. And tried. Turns out those 24 hour, emergency locksmiths only really provide those services when convenient for THEM. Even saying you have a screaming baby behind locked doors gets very little reaction other than "call someone else." Until....I called my hero, Aubrey's Locksmith Service. The greatest locksmith of all time. He dropped everything and came as quickly as possible, freed a hysterical Ben in record time and didn't want any money for his services. On a Saturday. What a guy. If you are ever locked out in Gainesville (or locked in for that matter): Aubrey's Locksmith Service, 770-532-6843.
And in D2's defense, he did call several times to check on us. And the nameless cousins provided much comic relief after the crisis was resolved....we were able to enjoy the calm after the storm with a lovely lunch at Brad's Grill, the best burgers in town.
